An artist in work: what could be more creative than Selene when she made a birthday cake for her little Piccolo’s 3 years birthday…?
Also the decoration around the table is creative, since it’s not easy to find things to decorate with when you’re not at home and on a island with no such stores!
I can tell you that ALL her cakes, buns, pie’s or salads - or any food - is like artwork!!! Absolutely mouth watering… *drooling heavily*
Just look at these photos:
You can see here that he liked the cake:
…and not only Piccolo loved the cake - me too, it was the absolutely best cake I tasted ever!!!!
She is just as creative as her husband Paco with his paintings at the Strandskogens Café at Fårö, a summer paradise island in the Swedish east coast where we have been almost 4 weeks now.
Their heartwarming hospitality sure is something we will remember in the cold winter!
They have been exceptional service minded, becoming good friends and feeding us even after they’ve closed the café and inviting us to dinner with them - and who says no to Selenes home cooked dinner…? YUMMY!!!!

We’re leaving FÃ¥rö the upcoming Monday. *sobbing*

Thanks for sharing Celene’s master cooking and baking. It’s a shame that this wonderful place was the only one we did not take any photos from. And the pie we ate last Sunday, directly from the oven, was also a masterpiece.
And Paco’s paintings is very creative and exciting as well.
A wonderful couple and a great place to eat.
Thanks for bringing us there. We do recomend the restaurant to all who visits Fårö.
btw. Hope to post the Sunday events and our first meeting later this evening (we still have guests from Holland you know).
chers - it’s Friday *giggles*
Yes a very creative and funny cake! The bambino seems to eat the green cake with his eyes!
The cake is lovely. Do you know how long it took to make the cake?
Happy Photo Hunting!

creative
Yo Captain! Haven’t been seeing you around for some time. I hope you enjoyed your vacation “partying” away…Haha. Welcome back!
That’s real creative of her to create such a lovely cake with whatever resources she had. Thumbs up for Selene! Happy Weekend! http://crizlai.blogspot.com/2007/07/photo-hunters-creative.html
Psss… any leftover for me to pick up? Haha
I am DESPERATELY trying to figure out what that cake is FROSTED with! I’ve never seen frosting that wraps onto the cake! Our frosting always “spreads” on with a knife — no wrapping! I am sure mystified! Does appear he is enjoying it though - so it MUST be tastey!
YUM! Looks like fun and I bet it tasted good, too.
What workmanship….a beautifully decorated cake and glad it tasted as good as it looks.
Wow, the cake looks so delicious and it’s really pretty to look at. I love the color and the flowers that went with it.
I’ve never seen such a lovely shade of green on a cake
Precisely my favourite colour in lollies - i love lime and don’t understand why people make that colour to taste like apple sometimes!
Warmer than usual in the last 3 days over here, have you been sending any up this way? I guess the seasons are beginning to shift again
I’m sure you’ll make the most of the remaining days.
The cake looks amazing! Very creative.
She has a talent that is in demand. I requires so much patience! I learned when I did the cake for the church’s Christmas pageant. It was hard work!
Very creative! I wish I had just a little bit of that creativity.
That was indeed a bday cake for a BOY!!! very creative, it seems it was also delicious!
I am being creative managing household after vacation and loads of laundry, watering my plants and expecting 4 guests for dinner this evening… in between a bit of blogging is allowed, yeahhhh
will be back with more time to look at the cruiser team having so much fun (your prior post)
Until then, cheers! (hear the corks???)
I am wondering the same as Melli? I’ve never seen a wrapped cake before. It is very creative; Piccolo is very lucky!!! Thank you for the birthday wishes!!!
Whoa — that looks like a Mexican Day of the Day cake — a skull with roses around it. Totally cool.
Here’s a link from Wikipedia.

Yes, that’s really a beautiful, creative cake! I love the smoothness of the icing (is it fondant?).
Geez ! that’s artwork ! So your holidays are already coming to an end. Time goes by so fast it’s terrible. Fortunately you had a nice time there although the weather was lousy. Must have been like ours. I am still waiting for summer !
Enjoy your last hours over there!!! and have a safe trip going back home
Definitely creative!
Come see my entry.
