Comments (1)I decided to take a closeup photo of a characteristic limestone wall of a fishing cottage at Gotland, to show you how they are built up more in detail.
Simple but effective. They used them to dry their fishing nets in, so the gap between the stones was actually a practical building detail.

Comments (3)There are a lot of charming old fishing cottages at Fårö island as well as in the whole Gotland area - naturally since people in the islands lived from the fishing in ancient times.
This one seem to have been renovated a bit, the roof and the door is very fresh by the look of it. [...]

Comments (2)I found this boat details in the waterline on a boat in Gotland another summer and found it fun, since it says öl (beer in Swedish), vodka and whiskey around the lines.
I wonder which waterline is expected to get exceeded…? Cheers and happy weekend!
