In our trip to Norway, we also stayed 2 nights after the party with TorAa and Anna at their summerhouse. We had a perfect, very relaxed time with them.
No rush, no press, just being ourselves all of us, having a good time, but this time together and not over the internet. We did what we felt like just at the moment and everybody was fine with that.
They live very well at their summerhouse, away from all the noise in the city. Tor took us on a nice walk up hills to be able to admire the view even more.
They have the wonderful opportunity to cultivate their own vegetables. Here you can see just a few of them.

Anna used a red salad in her cooking, which I must confess, I don’t remember the name of - please tell me what it’s name is in English, in the comments thank you!

She made us the most delicious dinner, chicken with the salad, wild rice, handharvested, natural lake rice - from Northern Minnesota & Canada.
We had never seen or tasted this type of rice before. It tasted really good!

The chicken was so delicious that Mr Lifecruiser ate almost all of the rest of it the day after that. There was no stop to him. This time it was the opposite, it was him that was the hungry monster all the time and not me.
Want the recipe? Ask TorAa & Anna, maybe he will write it on his blog soon…?
Another dinner they served us, was something none of us had tasted ever before: Whale beef, which you won’t find in Sweden. I can’t really say what it tasted, it had it’s own taste. Not meat, not fish.

I must confess that it was no favorite of ours, but maybe we just have to get used to it? Never the less it’s very interesting to have tasted it.
Now, of course there were lots and lots of talking, but I’m sure you already realized that’s gonna happen when blogger friends meet, right? *giggles*
In the evenings we enjoyed the warmth of the open fire as well as in our friendship and conversations. Which lasted long past the midnight…

If there were any gigglewater intake? Do you really have to ask…? *giggles*
Now, I must thank Tor & Anna again. Tor, who took the time to show us around a bit on the second day, instead of working. Anna who had to go to work, but was flexible enough to let us stay up late, claiming that we’d not disturb her sleep.
The sightseeing trip will be another post, so stay tuned…

First of all:
We miss you. You are such fabulous and unique people.
Blogger friends will find out next year in Southern France (Sic).
Then: Your posts from your short visit - first to Kari (we are now FB friends), and then to Anna’s 3×20 and the days after:
Will allways be in our memories.
Food:
The Salad: Marigold - that’s the old name for it here in the Nordics.
Minnesota Wild Rice: I got it from my wonderful blogfriend Suzann when I did visit her i August this year. Go back to my archieves from August. She is so alike is and I wish she could come to Europe and our meeting in August.
Whale Beef: yes it’s special. We are used to it from childhood. And it’s a strange taste between beef and tuna. But so soft.
Chicken: I really expected Mr Lifecruiser would do the Chicken Dance at the Platform. But he his of course excused: You were there with us and 2 Cats and the Platform is not build for chickens.
We had some very memorable days together.
That’s what’s real (blog)friendship is all about:
To stay together and relaxe - to enjoy the moments ensemble.
Comme nous - as we can
btw. Saturday we will pick up the “rest” from the Summerhouse and on Sunday we will surprise my mother on her 89 BD with what else but “Veuve Click” - Blue grapes from you know - and serve here “Napoleons kake”.

I just could not eat whale meat…we go and watch them here when they come up from Antarctica to calve. However, I do realise that it is part of the staple diet for some countries. It’s like here when people eat kangaroo meat…I won’t touch that, either. Eat Skippy?? No way…
Apart from that, the meal sounds delicious. The red salad vegetables are capsicum, tomato and it looks like red silverbeet. Very tasty.
It sounds as if you had a lovely time with your blogging friends…it’s always nice to make new friends, isn’t it?

Now that is one good looking plate of chicken. I just ate, but just looking at that plate makes me hungry again.
Anna really is a good cook. She is a teacher and teaches among other things cooking in the school. You did a lovely job of photographing Tor’s precious produce! It all looks fabulous!! Sorry I don’t know what the red salad is called
